Some of My Goings-on

For this edition, I’m veering a bit from my normal content to share some updates.

A Reading in Nashville

I read to a sold-out crowd recently at a Nashville “Tales at the Table,” a collaboration between the Rabbit Room and WriterFestNashville. I joined singer-songwriters, a screenwriter, and a novelist for the light program. What a joy to read from my just published essay on the importance of community for writers and other creative types. J.R.R. Tolkien and C.S. Lewis figured significantly in what I said, as did John Hendrix’s graphic novel The Mythmakers.

News on my forthcoming book

My manuscript for Fully Beloved has been edited and revised, and is being copyedited now, even as I write. (Copyediting refers to mostly finer points after the main work of revising is done.) Release date: March 17, 2026.

Endorsements I’ve received so far (more to be announced soon):

“Tim has a remarkable gift for depth made easy (and enjoyable!) to read.”

--Michael Lloyd, Principal of Wycliffe Hall, University of Oxford, author of Café Theology

“Tim Jones has done something remarkable. Fully Beloved explores the possibility of a loving God who meets us where we are in each moment of our lives: in peace or struggle, joy or despair. With intensely personal stories, Jones helps us to see our interaction with the Holy Trinity as a vital and relatable relationship, as gentle as whispered prayer, as real as unexpected hope on our darkest day.”

—David Bannon, author of A Hope Observed and Wounded in Spirit

I will be revealing the (beautiful) cover soon!

Thanks so much for your interest in what I write and do and teach, as I follow my calling to make difficult-to-grasp truths inviting—and more relatable.

And a Bit of Preaching

I recently preached at St. Bartholomew’s Episcopal Church: “Good News, Bad News, and More Good News.”
